Most recently, Jean-Yves was US CEO of BioSerenity Inc., where he was hired by Private Equity lead investor Jolt Capital, to reposition the money losing US subsidiary. He divested the Sleep Management SaaS platform business by selling it to MedBridge Healthcare, redefined the go-to-market by developing a US distributor for its products and managed the orderly winddown of the remaining operations to help the parent company refocus on a European centric model.

Before founding Champlain Associates, Jean-Yves was Acting CEO and COO/CFO of Down Under Yoga, the largest independently owned yoga studio in New England with 6 locations and over 100 employees. There he structured the rapid growth of this organization, doubling its locations and revenue size while managing a strategic partnership with Live Alive Cafe.

Prior to Down Under Yoga, he led a start-up in the industrial energy management space building a new service business from scratch, and had prior executive roles in strategy, innovation development and acquisitions, most notably with Schneider Electric, a large global company.
For about 10 years in the 2000s, he was a Partner at Boston Millennia Partners, a $414M Venture Capital growth fund, where he led investments in technology enabled business and services, and operationally contributed to their growth. Several of his investments were successfully acquired by strategic partners while a couple had public offerings. Jean-Yves sat on the board of directors of his investments. He actively helped them raise money more than $450M and accelerate their growth through acquisition strategies.
Jean-Yves earned his MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College with a particular focus in General Management and Entrepreneurship. He initially received a Master of Sciences in Engineering from ENSEEIHT School in Toulouse (France) and started his career at one of the largest international oil and gas companies, Total (formerly Elf Aquitaine).
Jean-Yves is a former Board Member and Treasurer of the French-American Chamber of Commerce of New England (FACCNE) and a former Foreign Trade Advisor to the French Government (CCEF).
He resides in the suburbs of Boston and enjoys all things New England from attending Celtics or Red Sox games, eating on Federal Hill in Providence, enjoying Maine lobster, being a passionate fan of the New England Patriots, hiking in New Hampshire during fall season and relishing the cold ski slopes of the region. Jean-Yves is also a Certified Yoga Instructor.
